The powder smelled funny and I also noticed that my skin was red after I applied it. I don’t have sensitive skin so this was unusual.
First off I love bare minerals makeup.
This didn’t work for me at all. I have been using it for almost 2 months now with no change in my minor breakouts at all. I have used proactive in the past and that worked great so I am going back to that.
BTW, the odd smell of the makeup isn’t that bad/strong IMO.
After the first day of use, my skin started to flake and peel. I was expecting this product to be gentle on my skin and I felt it was more harsh than the zit cream that comes from a tube. I did not notice my pimples healing faster than normal and ended up using a healing cream on my face to repair the dryness cause by RareMinerals.
Absolutely love this product. I have struggled with acne since I was 12. I am 45 now and still have breakouts. Since I love all the Bare Escentual products, I figured I would give this a try. It works! It is fairly light on my medium tone skin but blends in after using the Matte Medium Beige minerals over it. You can use it under makeup or at night on a clean face. It dried up the blemish by morning. I also have used it over my entire nose area and it seems to mininmize pores and reduce the oil production. Love it! Anyone with acne should try this product.
This product definitley takes the ‘red’ away. My pores do, infact, appear smaller and I haven’t had nearly as much trouble with blackheads while using this product. There is a tad bit of a medicine smell, but it isn’t noticable to others – (who gets that close to your face besides your significant other, right??)
A little goes a long way with this product, so I know it will last me a while before I have to reorder…
